Tour: After a brief welcome and the donning of safety protective clothing at the head office, the tour continues across the 7 km2 plant site to the Terminal 3 port area at Blast Furnace 2 (this is where the iron ore is delivered) and then to Blast Furnace 2 with a visit to the hot metal production process.
The tour ends with the return to the administration building, the handover of the safety protective clothing and the farewell.

Tour: An overview of the plant and the steel production process will be shown in an introducing movie. After safety instructions and the pick-up of personal protective equipment, the conventional steelmaking process from the production of hot metal in the blast-furnace to the manufacture of finished products in the Hot Rolling Mill or as an alternative in the Hot-Dipped Galvanizing Line will be shown. A short glimpse of the installations of the future SALCOS® project could be seen also. The SALCOS® project targets to lower the GHG-Emissions in the steel production by 95 % in 2033.
